This series is inspired by the written language and how it allows generations to communicate through time.

I'm fascinated by the shapes of scripts and symbols, and have spent time learning Mandarin Chinese and Hindi, the forms of which often appear in my work.

The desire of humans to leave a physical mark on their environment, whether it be cave paintings from thousands of years ago or current day graffiti taggers, is an urge I recognise in myself.
